Mayor

Mayor Joe M. Shaw has served the City of Lancaster for 23 years and is Lancaster’s  longest serving mayor. He was born in Kershaw County, South Carolina and has been married to the former Charlotte Mullis for 46 years. Mayor Shaw has one son and a granddaughter. He has actively participated in a number of civic organizations throughout the years,  including the Jaycees, Civitan Club, Dixie Youth Baseball, and the American Red Cross.
