The
Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act:
This law, passed July 19, 1978, established a one-call system and
requires that anyone starting any work operation that includes excavating,
boring, pile-driving, blasting or digging must report this information to area
utility operators at least three working days in advance. A single call may be all that’s needed. Non-members must be notified individually.
