The Gregwood community received a false positive test for E. coli. Late Tuesday afternoon on July 7th, the City received a positive test result for E. coli for the Gregwood Subdivision. The staff was confident that this was a testing error because we maintain chlorine residual levels above the State requirements and there was no loss of pressure in the waterlines, but out of an abundance of caution, the City issued a boil order for that neighborhood. The retesting was scheduled first thing Wednesday morning, July 8th. The test results came back negative, and there are no issues with our drinking water. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. If you have any question call Public Works at 803-283-CITY ext. 9.
