The J. Marion Sims Foundation is proud to join forces again this year with the Lancaster County Community Foundation, Lancaster County Partners for Youth, and the City of Lancaster to bring Give Local Lancaster 2017 to our community. Your leadership made Give Local Lancaster’s inaugural year a huge success! We look forward to our 2017 campaign being EVEN more successful, and hope to exceed our “$93,000 raised” mark from last year.
Our 42 participating organizations and 18 business sponsors have joined forces to showcase the needs of our community and to provide philanthropic incentives during the day. From 12 midnight to 11:59pm, individuals from our community and worldwide can donate online to causes that matter to them. See the attached list of business sponsors, totaling $41,699 in match prizes.
On May 2, there will be multiple opportunities to be further engaged in the community during the Give Local Lancaster day of philanthropy. These include the nonprofit fair at J. Marion Sims, 11am-2pm (come have lunch with us and meet our Give Local participating nonprofit organizations), and the following Dine & Donate Locations:
Lunch Dine & Donate locations:
The Wagon Wheel (5724 Lancaster Hwy, Fort Lawn, SC 29714), 11:00 AM- 2:30 PM.
- Join the Chester Literacy Council, GRASP and the Fort Lawn Community Center, who will showcase their organizations and provide a donation station for all nonprofit organizations.
The J. Marion Sims Foundation (800 N. White Street, Lancaster, SC 29720), 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM.
- Three local food trucks will be parked at the Foundation with food for sale.
Dinner Dine & Donate locations:
Gus’ House of Pizza (101 South Hampton Street, Kershaw, SC 29067), 5:00 PM- 10:00 PM
- Donate, show your receipt and get a free dessert with a meal purchase.
The Craft Stand (134 Main Street, Lancaster, SC 29720), 5:00 PM- 9:00 PM
- Food catered by Leo’s and live music; $1 from each pint sale will go to Give Local Lancaster.
521 BBQ (6257 Carolina Commons Drive, S-300 Fort Mill, SC 29707), 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM
- Free tea or soft drink and upgrade to a premium side when donation receipt is shown.
