    The Red Rose Festival,  Lancaster’s Signature Event, Returns May 18 & 19

    Everything will be coming up roses when the ninth annual Red Rose Festival sets the stage for a weekend of free family fun in the Cultural Arts District of the Red Rose City.  There is no admission fee for the popular two-day music festival, which also features children’s rides and activities, arts and crafts, food vendors, Red Rose Photography Contest, and much more.  The festival opens 6pm Friday, May 18 with an official welcome from the Main Street stage.

    The annual FREE outdoor concert series begins in June and finishes off in September.  Each event averages 150-250citizens and non-citizens traveling from neighboring areas for an enjoyable evening of music, food and entertainment.  So mark your calendars for next year, for it will only get better from here!

  • This annually anticipated event offers family-friendly fun for all ages from 6-8 pm on Monday, October 31.  Kids will enjoy free games and rides, candy and snacks, costume contest with multiple categories, music and more!  Held at 216 South Catawba Street, Visitors to the Cultural Arts District will find activities such as dog’s costume contest, “Smoke House”, “Glass House”, along with traditional “Halloween” fun such as trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating contest.
