Residential garbage containers are picked up weekly Monday thru Thursday. Please roll out your container to the curb in front of your house the night before your pickup day. Please place your container with the handles facing away from the street. Once your container has been emptied, please move your container back to your residence.
Commercial garbage containers are picked up Monday thru Friday.
The City of Lancaster offers a backyard garbage pickup service for elderly (over 75 years of age) and disabled citizens.

Sway carts are offered to City residents to use once a month at no fee for household cleanup projects.
(NOTE: These are not allowed for contractors doing work at your home.)
The City of Lancaster offers roll off containers for large jobs that may require more than a normal garbage container. Disposal fees are based on tons, and a weekly rental fee is charged based on container size.
(NOTE: Business license and/or building permit may be required for use of roll off container.)
